Among the countless financial resources available to undergraduate and graduate students alike, the Alice L. Educational Fund is one of the most beneficial.

An educational fund and scholarship for business management students and professionals.

Trustees of the Alice L. Haltom Fund assign financial resources based on the strong belief of Alice L. Haltom that quality is the cornerstone to positive progress. A careful evaluation of requests for research grants, seminar support, or other projects expected to increase and disseminate knowledge in the information and records management field is undertaken.

Overview

  • Students must be citizens of the United States or Canada and residents of the Southwest region (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or New Mexico).
  • Students must be actively pursuing education in records management.  These are restricted to Records Management/Governance, Archivist and Academic Library degrees/studies.
  • Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
  • The Fund Trustees will determine the number of scholarships to be awarded each year

Alice L. Educational Scholarship Application Guidelines

  • Applicants must submit the scholarship application form and 200-300 word essay describing how your educational pursuits will benefit your career in records and information management and how it will support and add value to an organization.
  • Applicants must submit a completed application, a personal statement, three letters of recommendation, and official transcripts.

Scholarship Timelines

  • To be considered for the Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund Scholarship, applications must be submitted by May 1 of the funding year.
  • Notifications of scholarship awards will be made in July.
